“It’s a matter of guys stepping up”: Stephen Curry doesn’t find it ‘extremely challenging’ for Warriors to win games without him

Although Stephen Curry has avoided the risk of getting a surgery done on his dislocated shoulder yet there is no timetable being laid upon when the 3-Point King will return for his team. Golden State Warriors are already playing well below expectations in the 2022-23 season, and their 14-15 record tally indicates just that.

What’s even more concerning? That Steve Kerr’s side has only won 2 games out of 15 on the road. This is the second lowest win-tally from home and level for the most road losses. Now with Curry out, the likes of Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson need to bring out their ‘A-Game,’ if the Warriors do not want to slip out of the Play-In Tournaments berth as well.

When Curry was asked about his concerns on the team’s form and whether they can win the upcoming road games, It’s a matter of other guys stepping up. Every team goes through something like this during the year, dealing with injuries, your main guys being out. You’ve got to figure out how to perform and embrace the challenge. I’m confident in the guys we have on this team to figure it out.”

Does Stephen Curry believe in his team to turn the tide around in his absence

The 34-year-old is averaging 30.0 points per game even when his team Is below the .500 mark. Given that Steve Kerr, Warriors will be wanting Curry to bounce back before it is too late, the defending champions need to register some big road wins.

“This is a very important stretch because you want to maintain as much positivity and belief in what we’re doing as possible and give ourselves a chance to finish the year strong,” Curry said. “That’s always a good soundbite because it gives you something to key on. But where we’re at, we just want to win a road game.”
