Immanuel Quickley raises concern over increasing Covid-19 cases
It started looking like the world has finally moved past the Covid-19 pandemic, however, it seems to be everything but that. The most recent Covid-19 variant ‘Omricon’ has been spreading rapidly. New York Knicks NBA player Immanuel Quickley recently raised concerns over the increased number of Covid-19 cases while making a hilarious remark.
After securing a win for his team against the Houston Rockets, Quickley was asked about the pandemic in a post-game interview where he said (h/t:CBS New York):
“It’s definitely crazy right now. I’ve been showering with my mask on.”
The situation is most certainly turning in for the worse. The sporting events which recently opened it’s doors to welcome the spectators back are faced with a big question mark about how to maintain the health and safety of everyone involved.
Knicks’ game against the Rockets was an ever so important one. The team was on a four-game losing streak and they needed the victory to boost the morale of the team. Quickley scored 24 points for his team which included seven spectacular 3-pointers. With his performance, Quickley has managed to earn an important victory for the team. The Knicks currently secure the 12th position in the Eastern Conference table and are in line to face Boston Celtics next on 18th December. The team will certainly look to build upon their performance.
