The Los Angeles Clippers are bringing their center Ivica Zubac with a three-year extension worth $33 million.
The Los Angeles Clippers are bringing back a big piece to their squad in Ivica Zubac. He is the starting center of the team, and he agreed to a three-year extension worth $33 million.
Zubac has been good for them since arriving from the Lakers and is the only center as of now on their team. They’ll look to add more players in that position, but bringing back Zubac helps them a lot.
The Clippers will be a championship contender next season, and they have already made many moves that have already made them quite a lot better for next season.
As per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski: “The Clippers declined a $7.5 million team option on Zubac’s contract, clearing the way to negotiate a new deal for Zubac, who is the longest-tenured player on the roster. Zubac, 25, is a frontcourt anchor on a starry Clippers roster expected to compete for an NBA championship next season.”
The Los Angeles Clippers are already among the favorites to win the championship next season. They’ll be ready with Kawhi Leonard returning from injury and Paul George healthy.
On top of those two, the Clippers recently added John Wall, who’ll be a key player for them next season. The inclusion of Normann Powell and Robert Covington will also prove out to be very vital for them, and on paper, they are already looking like the best team in the NBA.
