Jaden Ivey fell into the laps of the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Draft 2022, and it was a great pickup by the Pistons.

The NBA Draft 2022 had a lot of surprises at the top of the order which is quite unusual. Firstly, Jabari Smith dropped down to the 3rd spot. Then the Sacramento Kings passed on Jaden Ivey at the 4th spot and drafted Keegan Murray.

As a result, the Detroit Pistons were able to get Jaden Ivey and drafted him with the 5th overall pick in this year’s draft. This is a very good pickup by the Pistons, as Ivey is one of the best players in this draft.

Jaden Ivey played for Purdue during the college season and had a stellar campaign. He’s a 6’4 guard, who weighs 195 lbs and is an excellent finisher on the rim, as well as a great three-point shooter.

How will the Detroit Pistons look with Jaden Ivey?

The Detroit Pistons have formed a very exciting and talented young squad. They added Ivey to pair up with Cade Cunningham in the front court. Moreover, they also got Jalen Duren who is also a very good player and can go straight into their starting lineup.

The Pistons now also have immense depth on their roster. The likes of Saddiq Bey, Kilian Hayes, Isiah Stewart, etc. are also developing quite well. The inclusion of Jaden Ivey can help them to make a push towards the play-in tournament this season.
