On the interviewer’s question about Kyrie Irving returning as a full-time player, James Harden reply was hilarious

Brooklyn Nets are bookies’ favorite to win this season’s championship. But Kyrie Irving’s unavailability makes this a bit difficult for the team. He has played only 3 (away) games with the team. Their record with Kyrie is 2-1, after which the reporter asked Harden about Kyrie’s possibility of playing full-time (home and away both) with the Nets. Harden’s reply was hilarious.

The reporter asked James Harden“In some time, in some kind of fashion, we will see Kyrie play full time”, Harden was quick enough to reply “I am gonna give him a shot”, while the press cracked in laughter.

Irving is unable to participate in home games due to New York State mandate regarding unvaccinated individuals. This limits his game time, even though he is fully healthy. The Nets have an 11-10 record at home; the addition of Kyrie would have definitely helped the team to get home results in their favour.

Having Kyrie in-home game would be essential for the team in the postseason, as their “big 3” can turn the game in the team’s favor when played together. As per the New York state mandate, Kyrie might need to take Covid-19 Vaccine to be able to play in-home games.

James Harden and Kyrie Irving got together with the Nets this season

Kevin Durant has been a regular starter for the team and had played 35 games for them. It was just 2nd time that the offensive trio of Harden-Irving-Durant played together this season and the Nets won both games.

When these three superstars play together team seems explosive on the offense. The recent fixture against top seed and fully fit Chicago Bulls was evidence of the same. Nets managed to beat the Bulls 138-112. This is their season-high points scored and franchise-high against the Bulls.

James Harden scored 25 points and provided 16 assists in-game. Kevin Durant was also efficient with his 27 points, 9 assists in the game. Kyrie Irving had a relatively rough game scoring just 9 points, but his presence alone affects the opponent’s defense.

The Nets will host OKC this Thursday 13/1/22.
