Update: Positive news has come out regarding Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden’s return from his injury layoff.
James Harden has spent an awful amount of time out injured in the last couple of years. After an injury-riddled short stint with the Brooklyn Nets, Harden began his first season with his new franchise last month. However, after a strong start averaging 22 points per game, Harden was sidelined with a right foot tendon strain. However, Harden has revealed he will be back soon.
Speaking to Philadelphia Sports last week, the Sixers star revealed that he is well on track to return from the injury that has kept him out since early November. Harden said: “I feel good.” and revealed that he is on pace to return, as he described: “On pace. Started slowly, ramping it up a little bit… We’ve got a plan, a script that we’re trying to stick to. Overall, I feel good.”
“(The pain is) going down,” the Sixers’ superstar forward added. “I started off with a boot, but the boot kind of made my ankle and my foot stiff. So I took the boot off after maybe about four or five days. I wasn’t supposed to, but it wasn’t doing good. But yeah, just shooting, trying to get my bounce back with my shot and things like that… and just keep building from there.”
Another positive update has followed from a reporter who has followed up on Harden’s recovery process.
NBA reporter Tim Bontemps reported that Harden is well on schedule in his recovery process.
The writer for ESPN took to his Twitter account to reveal the latest update. “As we get let into shootaround this morning, James Harden is working out on a stair master on the other side of the gym.” The reporter also included the latest timeline for Harden’s return as he added: “Harden said last week he is on pace to return as scheduled, roughly in a couple of weeks.”
Harden’s return to action will be a huge boost for the Sixers as they try and consolidate their early bid to qualify for the Playoffs this season.
