James Harden laid down his targets with the Philadelphia 76ers this season and spoke about winning as many titles as he can with the 76ers in the next few couple of seasons.

James Harden is widely regarded as one of the best players in the NBA right now and one of the most prolific scorers in the league. However, despite a career that has seen him win multiple MVP awards, the Philadelphia 76ers superstar has never won an NBA Championship – and Harden has changed that with as many titles as he can with the 76ers.

The 33-year-old is now a 13-year-old veteran in the NBA, having played for franchises such as the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets and the Brooklyn Nets – but the NBA Championship is still missing from what otherwise is a decorated career. However, Harden is ready to add the elusive Championship to his accolades to complete his career once and for all.

So, when asked about his long-term targets at the customary media day at the 76ers ahead of the new season, Harden said that he wants to win as many Championships as he can.

Harden sat alongside teammate Joel Embiid to address the press, and answered questions about his long term plans with the 76ers and how he plans to spend the rest of his tenure at Philadelphia.

What did Harden add about his long-term targets at the 76ers?

Harden’s quick response to being asked about his long-term targets at the 76ers was to say that he wants to win “as many Championships as he can.”

The 33-year-old elaborated: “Just going through what I went through last year, my focus is to take it one year at a time – and making sure that I fulfil and do everything I need to do individually, and then making sure my individual goals mesh with the team’s.”

Harden sounded like a focused man ready to tap into his inner reserves and finally bring that elusive ring home. Harden and Embiid need to be at the top of their game if the 76ers want to stand any chance of bringing the NBA Championship to Philly at the end of the upcoming season.
