When will Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden return from his injury lay-off – know all about his return date.
James Harden has had quite a solid career in the NBA from a broader spectrum. The current Philadelphia 76ers superstar made a name for himself as one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA at the moment, and even though he has never won the NBA Championship – the former MVP is a proven winner who has had a reputation for being one of the toughest forwards.
However, the last two years of his career have not really worked out in Harden’s favor. Ever since joining the Brooklyn Nets in 2021, Harden has struggled with niggling injuries. The forward suffered 12 different injuries through the course of the 2021/22 season, experiencing problems with his ankle, thigh, hamstring, and neck. He also missed games due to general rest.
After two injury-riddled seasons, it felt like Harden was finally back at his best after starting this season in fine form for the Sixers, averaging 22 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds per game of nine games. However, as luck would have it, Harden now finds himself sidelined for a month owing to a right foot tendon strain – and has missed the last five games through injury.
It turns out that even though there is no exact expected date of return for the Sixers star, his recovery is going at the right pace.
“Our whole thing is just try — it’s tough to condition — just eating right and doing right all the health stuff and doing all the right treatment,” Sixers’ head coach Doc Rivers explained last week. “He’s doing everything he’s supposed to do. That’s important when he comes back. Like, he can’t back and be ten pounds heavier or whatever. It’s hard not to be. I would be, for sure” he joked.
While Harden did sport a supportive boot in the first few days of the recovery process, it seems that the boot has come off – and it might not be a lot of time before we see Harden back on the court. The Sixers will want their talismanic guard back to help them qualify for the Playoffs.
