James Harden seems to take a shot at his detractors following their enquiries over his weight loss during the off season.

James Harden is widely regarded as one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA right now. The Philadelphia 76ers superstar has built a reputation for himself as one of the deadliest marksmen in the league, and despite a mediocre couple of years – Harden looks like he is back at his best ahead of the upcoming season.

Harden and his teammate Joel Embiid sat down to address the media on the customary media day ahead of the upcoming season, where the former Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets superstar addressed the questions put to him by the media – one of which focused on his rumoured weight loss during the off season.

When the journalist asked Harden about how much weight did he lose over the summer, Harden replied he had lost 100 pounds – followed by a shot at his detractors as Harden added “tweet that.” Harden has had his critics questioning how much weight he lost over the summer, and he fought them back.

What did Harden say about losing weight over the summer?

Besides the short answer and the retort, Harden elaborated about how he lost weight during the summer.

After the retort at his fans, Harden elaborated: “I think at this point it’s the dieting, the proper rest and for me, just strengthening the muscles – and gaining some muscle mass. Which I’ve always had, but these last two years were not healthy enough to put the proper work in like I’m used to – so this summer was huge.”

Elaborating on why this summer was huge for Harden, the 76ers superstar said: “This summer was huge for me in that aspect, making sure that – you know – the heel runs, the weightlifting as well as adding the skills on the court.”

If his comments to the press were not enough, Harden re stressed on his weight loss by adding another “tweet that” on his Twitter – serving as a proper message for his critics.
