James Harden has been in the NBA trade rumor mill for several days now. As soon as ESPN Analyst Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the possibility of The Beard joining his former team – Houston Rockets, some reporters were too eager to get an official answer from the concerned player.
James Harden and Joel Embiid led Philadelphia 76ers are on a dream spell at the time of writing. With both players firing out on full cylinders, this team has gone onto win 8 consecutive games, the latest of which came on Christmas Day at Madison Square Garden, making them fall just one win behind 4th seed Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference standings.
On the other Houston Rockets have never looked like a proper unit ever since James Harden has departed. Currently they are 9-23 and are trying to desperately rebuild from the past two seasons.
James Harden on rising trade rumors
The 33-year-old guard seems to have no knowledge about the reports sent out by ESPN and as per Philadelphia Inquirer, Harden got testy with a reporter who demanded him to give out a clearer picture.
“Why would you ask me about that on Christmas, man?” Harden told the Inquirer. “You didn’t say Merry Christmas or nothing. You asked me about something that I ain’t even … I’m not answering. I didn’t see nothing.”
James Harden has once again taken the center stage after a below-average consistency rate in the previous two seasons. The former MVP is averaging 21.4 points and 10.9 assists in 17 games this season, has a player option for next season on a two-year, $68.6 million deal. Given that the Sixers have a legitimate chance of winning this season if the 10-time All Star can support Joel Embiid and his team in the latter stages by being healthy, let’s see if we witness another switch from one of NBA’s greatest ever scorers.
