Jayson Tatum created NBA history after recording a 49-point haul against Miami Heat in their clash on Wednesday night.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat to continue their great run of form this season. The leaders of the Eastern Conference added another win to their record as they defeated the Heat by 134-121 at the TD Garden in Boston, majorly courtesy of their man of the season so far Jayson Tatum who added yet another incredible display to his catalog with a 49-point haul.
Tatum who has been the NBA’s leading scorer so far this season, added another impressive performance to his ever-expanding catalogue as he scored 49 points against the Heat on Wednesday night. It was an incredible shooting night for the Celtics forward who also racked up 11 rebounds and three assists – also completing 15 of his total 25 attempted field goals.
Tatum’s performance had the NBA community paying tributes to one of the early Most Valuable Player contenders of the season, and it turns out that Tatum created history with his display. A stat surfaced soon after the game that with his display against the Heat, Tatum became the first player in NBA History to record multiple games of 45+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 8+ threes.
The display was the latest of many incredible performances that the highest scorer in the NBA this season has put up over the course of the season so far.
Jayson Tatum has had an incredible season for the Boston Celtics as he has inspired the Celtics to the top of the Eastern Conference this season.
Tatum has averaged 31.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists this season – helping the Celtics to the first position in the Eastern Conference. Tatum has also racked up nine double-doubles this season, making them one of the best and most consistent performers to step on a court this year.
