Jimmy Butler is one player who has witnessed the epic rise of Bam Adebayo in his short NBA career. From averaging just over 6 points per game, this Power Forward has now managed to score at his career-best rate of 21.1 points per game. Given that he wasn’t named in the EC starters despite producing such epic numbers for a shorthanded side, Adebayo was evidently frustrated.
As Bam hopes for the coaches to name him as at least a reserve in the 2023 All-Star game, his teammate – Jimmy Butler demanded how Bam Bam truly needs to be acknowledged with the respect he deserves.
After beating the Orlando Magic 105-110, Heat star Jimmy Butler said, “I think he will. Yes, we all know that he deserves it but I think he will be picked by the coaches and whoever else picks the reserves. He better be there, that’s for sure.”
Jimmy Butler on Bam Adebayo
Adebayo ranked 5th in both player and media votes, which makes you think the coaches will also have noticed just how good he has been. Showing his frustration in the right manner, Bam even dropped 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal against the Magic on Friday Night. While Jimmy Butler dropped game high 29 points.
That being said, will Jimmy Butler along with Bam Adebayo get the required applause they deserve as the Heat have now made their way into the playoffs berths of the Eastern Conference (6th seed) after winning 8 of their last 11 games?
