The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Utah Jazz at the Wells Fargo Center in Brooklyn on Sunday night, courtesy of a monstrous performance from their center Joel Embiid. The Cameroonian-French center put on an incredible display racking up as he dominated every other player on the court, and ended his game with a stat line that read 59 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.
Embiid was unplayable at the Wells Fargo Center as he completely and utterly dominated a Utah Jazz side that had no answer to his performance. Even though it was the Jazz who led during half time after winning both of the first two quarters, Embiid helped the 76ers into the game almost single-handedly and came up with a performance that is easily the best of his career so far.
Embiid converted 19 of his total 28 attempted field goals in the game at a success rate of 68%, and also made seven blocks and a steal over the course of his brilliant display. What is even more astonishing is that the center only played 37 minutes on the court to bring up such incredible numbers, a performance that established his name in the history books of the NBA.

Sunday was not just a one-off performance as Embiid has been having a great season for the 76ers, averaging 32.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game – and will hope to take the Sixers into the Playoffs.
