Joel Embiid will not be one of the starters from the Eastern Conference in the 2023 All-Star Game. However, in every game, since he has been snubbed, the Cameroonian International has been sensational for his team. As a result of which, he has led the Sixers to a seven-game winning streak, second in the EC standings, behind Boston Celtics.

In their latest game against the Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid dropped a sensational double-double – 47 points and 18 rebounds against the two-time reigning MVP. After which, Embiid broke the silence for the first time on being snubbed as a starter.

Embiid said, “I was not surprised. I think it’s what Doc mentioned, that I’m not well-liked and that’s cool. I don’t know if it’s because I troll a lot, or that I guess I’m an a*****e. But it’s cool, I keep being me, I keep being an a*****e, and I keep trolling, and if people don’t like it, that’s their problem.”

He might not be a starter but Joel Embiid is surely going to be one of the main players from the Eastern Conference to feature in the star-studded game in Salt Lake City. The resilient big man is averaging a league-leading 33.8 PPG to go with 10.0 RPG and had arguably his best performance of his career, in the 2022-23 season.

Hopefully, this time if Embiid is able to secure the All-Star Game MVP honor, that would be a perfect way to answer his critics, who voted for Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant in the frontcourt ahead of him.
