Kawhi Leonard has been mightily frustrated by not getting enough minutes on the court to help his LA Clippers clinch crucial wins. There is no doubt that the Clippers have been inconsistent in the 2022-23 NBA Season, yet they have been able to beat the Los Angeles Lakers led by LeBron James in their most recent matchup.
While the Clippers have now won three games in the regular season, on the troth, the dynamic duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both contributed well in this mentioned matchup. They added 52 points together. After the game, Leonard even gave an honest response to LeBron James breaking the all-time scoring record.
King James, the 38 year old, four-time NBA Champion is less than 10 matchups away from breaking the iconic record. Just like everyone, it seems safe to say that even Kawhi Leonard is excited.
Kawhi Leonard on LeBron James
Kareem is undoubtedly one of the best players to ever play in the history of the NBA. The Purple and Gold legend has held the record for most points scored in the regular season for several years now. But LeBron will certainly surpass him in the coming weeks, and it feels obvious that the Los Angeles Clippers superstar will be happy when James does that. On the same note, Leonard got honest about LeBron James inspiring the next generation to come.
Leonard said, “I didn’t think of it too much until he’s gotten closer and closer. 1 of 1 talent right there, you see it for yourself … Definitely inspirational for everyone.”
