Kendrick Nunn didn’t play a single game last year for the Los Angeles Lakers due to an injury but has now opted into his contract.
After a disappointing season last time around, the Los Angeles Lakers need to start making moves for the next season. They’ll be exploring the trade market, and free agency in order to get better for the next season.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Lakers guard Kendrick Nunn has opted into his contract for the next season. Nunn who didn’t play a single game last year due to an injury would want to contribute to the team next season.
The Los Angeles Lakers can certainly benefit from a healthy Nunn next season. He is a quick guard, who can finish on the rim and can also shoot the ball. All these qualities will be very helpful for the team in purple and gold.
The LA Lakers fans were very excited when they acquired Nunn last season. He was a good player at the Miami Heat and was expected to help the team. Unfortunately, he got injured and we didn’t get to see him at all last year.
Next season he can be a scoring option from the bench. It is very likely that the Lakers will work around Nunn and Malik Monk, and chose whoever will be the better option for that particular night.
More moves will be made by the Lakers, and that will provide a clearer picture for players like Kendrick Nunn, on what will be his primary role next season.
