Kendrick Perkins names Lebron James, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis’ performance against the Bucks as the best Lakers performance this season
The Lakers finally look like they got the pace they have been searching for this year with all the big names now delivering on the score sheet.
Friday night turned out pretty decent for the trio of Lakers, with all of them proving why they are considered such important for a long time in NBA. The top-rated defence of the Bucks which includes the 2021 NBA Finals MVP was thrashed by both Davis and Lebron.
Anthony emerged with his season-high of 44 points in the game along with James leaving behind Magic Johnson in terms of most of his NBA career assists. Lakers head coach and former Bucks player Ham mentioned the game as ”It was a beautiful night”.
Kendrick Perkins is often seen as criticizing the Los Angeles side but mentioned this game as the best game that the Lakers played this season.
The game was surely an ice-rock match with both sides facing tough scoreline competition throughout the game, initially, the Bucks lost 2 chances that could potentially tie up the game in the last 20 seconds. James moved into 6th place in terms of assists making his total number to 10,144 after the game.
”It means a lot, obviously,” James said. ”The way Magic approached the game, it was very infectious. His teammates loved playing with him because of the joy he played with and the ability to pass the ball and get other guys involved. He was always excited about seeing his teammates be great. I always admired that in him. What’s even more humbling and super duper cool is the fact that I’m doing it in a Laker uniform and knowing how much Magic means to the Laker franchise.”
Westbrook had some words exchanged with the fans throughout the game to which he added ”I don’t mind you coming to the game and heckling and doing certain things, but there’s a certain line you don’t cross,” Westbrook said. ”I feel like he crossed it.”
