Kendrick Perkins has asked Draymond Green to seek therapy after his scandal involving Jordan Poole at the Golden State Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors will begin their title defense later this month when the regular NBA season begins. The defending champions were looking like the favourites to reclaim the NBA championship, but their morale going into this season has been dealt with a massive blow as Draymond Green and Jordan Poole got into an altercation at a practice session.
It was at a practice session where Green and Poole got into an altercation, and when tempers flared – Green forcibly struck Poole and the practice session was called off. The incident went viral in no time, and it was only when the footage of the video was leaked that Green took to the media to apologize to Poole and the rest of the team – but it seemed that the damage was done.
Regardless, the NBA community on social media all gave their opinions on the situation, including the last professionals. The latest of them has been former NBA professional Kendrick Perkins who came clean about his opinion of the Golden State Warriors’ scandal that has taken quite the steel out of their pre-season ahead of their title defense.
What did Kendrick Perkins have to say about Draymond Green?
Perkins recommended Green go through anger management classes as he did.
Speaking about the Green-Poole situation, Perkins ripped into Green and criticized him for his short temper. Perkins, who had previously been in an altercation with Green earlier this year said that Green should consider going through anger management like Perkins himself did. Perkins said: “This is not one incident – Green should get therapy.“
Perkins also lauded Poole’s mental strength and said that he is focused on the game way too much to be perturbed by the scandal. However, it still is a huge blow to the Warriors’ preparations ahead of the upcoming season – and the Warriors’ locker room will need to get back on the same page once again if they want to retain their Championship this season.
