The Los Angeles Lakers just lost their fourth game in a row and Kendrick Perkins is fed up with them
The LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers have started the season 0-4 and Kendrick Perkins is fed up with them. After the Laker’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, Perkins tweeted to say he’d be shifting his focus to the Nuggets. Kendrick Perkins said that he knew the Lakers would lose and that he’d be focusing on how good the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic played instead.
This is not surprising because LeBron James and the Lakers have looked abysmal to start the season. The Lakers can’t shoot a 3-pointer if their season depended on it and the offense is not clicking.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis have looked good but apart from them, there’s not much production in that Lakers team. Fans are screaming for Russell Westbrook to be traded to get back some depth. A trade involving Westbrook would more likely be about the Lakers First-round draft picks than Westbrook himself.
After this season started, teams are less eager to trade for Westbrook. If teams do trade for him this season, they may bench him or waive him. Some NBA analysts have even suggested that the Lakers should start a rebuild and trade LeBron James.
Will the Lakers trade LeBron James this year?
The Los Angeles Lakers will not trade LeBron James this year. The Lakers are too invested in the current roster to afford a rebuild right now. In addition to this, LeBron James and the Lakers are committed to winning now. This will prevent any trade from taking place other than a potential Russell Westbrook trade.
It will be interesting to see what the Laker’s front office does as the season progresses. A Russell Westbrook trade will take place sometime this season and the Lakers will build using that. Most analysts predict the Lakers will miss the playoffs in what looks like a lost season.
