On live television, Kenny Smith playfully pushes Shaq into a Christmas tree
Shaquille O’Neal, the Hall of Famer who fused with a Christmas tree on Tuesday night’s broadcast of “Inside the NBA,” is now the merriest member of the “Inside the NBA” team. During the Lakers vs. Cavaliers halftime show, Kenny Smith chased down Shaq O’Neal and pushes him into the enormous Christmas tree on the stage turning it into a funny incident.
Two big shoes dangling from the tree were all that was left visible to the camera. Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, the co-hosts, came over to assist Shaq in getting out from beneath the tree. O’Neal appropriately landed next to a huge red bag bearing the name “Shaq-A-Claus”.
The tree, fortunately, escaped the crash. If TNT had to go out and locate another one, Smith may have found himself paying the price of another tree. Once Shaq was up again, the team couldn’t stop laughing, but the Hall of Fame centre had to spend the next five minutes pulling pine needles out of his suit.
Shaq appeared to love getting bodied into the tree a little too much since he subsequently returned during TNT’s telecast for a few seconds. And one can see that Shaq was coated in glitter as well as pine needles as he made his way back to his seat.
Later on in the evening, Shaq failed to get revenge on Smith, but the men will all be reuniting and dissecting basketball in a couple of days. Furthermore, this is not the conclusion of the narrative. Then Ernie Johnson pressed O’Neal to avoid jumping into the tree headfirst. Being the sportsman that he is, Shaq accepted the task and successfully completed it.
