Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for 9% from 3 point land in critical loss to Milwaukee Bucks
In their recent loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for 9% from beyond the arc. Durant and Irving shot a combined 1 for 11 from 3-point land in a 110-99 loss to the Bucks. These are unacceptable numbers from two NBA superstars who are known for their shot-making ability.
Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have started the season with terrible 3-point shooting. Irving has looked simply abysmal shooting 21.9% on 3-pointers this season. Durant is the better of the two with a slightly better but still subpar 31.8% on 3-pointers so far.
Both Durant and Irving have to improve their shot selection and efficiency for the Brooklyn Nets to win games. This poor shooting start from the Nets star duo comes at a terrible time. The entire Brooklyn Nets roster is struggling to shoot efficiently. Ben Simmons has struggled to start the season and that has affected the Nets as well.
In addition to this, the Nets are missing rotation players such as Seth Curry and TJ Warren due to injury. Curry and Warren are both good shooters and the Nets will benefit when they come back from injury.
Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are extremely talented scorers and their shooting slump will not last long. Shooting slumps are a common occurrence in the NBA and both Irving and Durant will get through them.
Durant is one of the most gifted scorers in NBA history and will be back to his regular numbers soon. Irving is a fantastic scorer as well and his shooting will pick up as the season goes on. The best part is that Durant and Irving are finding a way to score despite their bad 3-point shooting.
