Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s decision to give a possible last push to help the Brooklyn Nets claim ultimate glory seems to be working well. Having seen the worst time before the start of the 2022-23 NBA Season, Durant finally broke his silence on how his patience has paid off as they make a serious bid for the championship.
To bring everyone on the same page – both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were linked to different moves in the initial weeks of the current season. This is just when Brooklyn Nets wanted to make a final push with both these exceptionally skilled superstars, and safe to say it seems to be paying off as this team has won 19 of their previous 23 games.
It is shocking to know what the best performance of a team that has both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving – is to reach the second round in the playoffs in a four-year spell.
Kevin Durant breaks his silence on why he stuck with the Nets
In a detailed conversation with Nick Friedell of ESPN, Kevin Durant discussed how the Nets have taken care of all issues up until this date and point.
Durant answered the question of how Nets have managed to bring back all their puzzles in their given place, “Because we was together regardless. I think coming into the training camp, we understood that it’s going to be a lot on us from a media standpoint, from just the noise in general around our team, so I think that made us tighter once camp started.
“So we was able to take the Kyrie stuff and move in stride because we were already stuck together before that. We started to win some games, started to get better as a team, and do some things out there that work for us. And now it seems like everything was patched all together, but it felt like it was always cool, to be honest.”
