In a post-game Interview, Kevin Durant ended up correcting a courtside reporter in what was a hilarious exchange
Following the Brooklyn Nets’ win over the Indiana Pacers, Kevin Durant got into a hilarious exchange with a courtside reporter. The reporter was asking Durant a question about the game and in a moment of confusion said that Durant had scored 34 points. Durant said that he thought he had 36 points but was equally happy with 34.
The courtside reporter then Durant did score 36 points, admitting that she was wrong the first time. The whole exchange was quite funny with both the reporter’s and Durant’s reactions.
Kevin Durant had 36 points, 7 assists, and 9 rebounds in a close 116-109 win over the Pacers. This performance marked Durant’s 5th consecutive game scoring 25+ points in what has been a tough start for the Nets. Durant has been on fire and is averaging 32.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists so far this season.
Besides this, Durant is also putting effort into defense and has looked committed. The Nets were title favorites before the season started but have struggled and own a win-loss record of 2-5. If the Nets want to compete, they have to get into gear and start playing better.
At the moment it looks unlikely that the Brooklyn Nets win an NBA Championship this year. This is because Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving do not have enough offensive support. Besides this, the Brooklyn Nets have one of the NBA’s worst defense’s this season. The Nets are ranked in the bottom 5 for both Defensive Rating and Opponent Points allowed.
In addition to this Nets Head Coach Steve Nash has not impressed this season. Many Nets fans are unhappy with how Nash has coached the side and also with the lack of success. The Nets will have to change a lot to compete this year. The coaching has to be better and supporting players have to step up.
