If you missed the initial action from Nets vs. Heat’s most recent showdown and were unable to find Kevin Durant during the clutch stages of the game, it is because the former MVP suffered a knee injury in the third quarter. The Brooklyn Nets adjudged it as a right knee injury and subsequently ruled out their marquee scorer, KD out of this game.

This injury took place when Jimmy Butler landed on Kevin Durant’s knee in the third quarter, whilst attempting a layup. While Ben Simmons blocked out Butler’s attempt, the latter fell straight on KD’s leg and forced him to go down on the floor in an accident where Durant even lost his show. As soon as Kevin was down on the floor, he grabbed his knee.

Fans would be aware as Kevin Durant went down with a sprained MCL in his left knee, he was sidelined for five weeks the last season. During this period Brooklyn Nets lost 11 consecutive games and had a record of 5-16. This just showcases how important Durant is to them.

Kevin Durant’s Injury woes continue

Kevin Durant has struggled with fair-share of injuries in his career and they have majorly been on his foot. Given that the Nets are chasing the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, they would not want to rush Durant back from injury as this is the first time Simmons, Royce O’Neale, Yuta, Seth Curry, and Joe Harris are all available on the floor for them.
