Kevin Durant surpasses Dominique Wilkins to move up to position 14 on the all-time scoring list 

In his 14-year NBA career, Kevin Durant has now garnered more than 26,669 points. He may end this year among the top 10 scorers in the league all-time. On the NBA’s all-time scoring list, Kevin Durant overtook Dominique Wilkins for position 14 on Sunday by hitting a mid-range turnaround jumper to surpass the Atlanta Hawks star with a 26,669th point.

Durant concluded the game against Miami with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block in 30 minutes, but he finally had to leave due to a right knee injury. With a final score of 102-101, the Nets secured their 18th victory in 20 matches. 

Durant is in a good position to move up to the next several positions significantly quicker than their current occupants, gathering his 26,684 points in just 978 games to date.

With a 27-13 record, the Nets being one game behind Boston for holding the best record in the NBA, Durant has led the Nets to 18 victories in their previous 20 games.

He injured his left MCL in January of last year, and the Nets disintegrated as a result. He missed 21 games. Without him, they struggled, finishing 5-16 and continuing to fall in the standings.
