Kevin Durant reacted to Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum scoring 49 points against the Miami Heat when they travelled to Boston on Wednesday night.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat to continue their great run of form this season. The leaders of the Eastern Conference added another win to their record as they defeated the Heat by 134-121 at the TD Garden in Boston, majorly courtesy of their man of the season so far in Jayson Tatum who added yet another incredible display to his catalogue with a 49-point haul.
Tatum who has been the NBA’s leading scorer so far this season, added another impressive performance to his ever-expanding catalogue as he scored 49 points against the Heat on Wednesday night. It was an incredible shooting night for the Celtics forward who also racked up 11 rebounds and three assists – also completing 15 of his total 25 attempted field goals.
Tatum’s performance had the NBA community paying tributes to one of the early Most Valuable Player contenders of the season, and it was not long before Kevin Durant gave his thoughts on the performance as well. Durant – who was in action earlier on the night as the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Washington Wizards – took to his Twitter to give his two cents on Tatum’s display.
The Brooklyn Nets star took to his Twitter to give his thoughts on Jayson Tatum’s display against the Heat, and it would be fair to say that he was a fan.
Durant took to his official Twitter account following his game against the Washington Wizards to give his thoughts on Tatum’s monstrous performance. Durant wrote: “49, 8-12 from Tracy is ridiculous Jayson Tatum. It’s a lot of cookin goin on in this league man”, particularly stressing the fact that Tatum scored 8 of his 12 attempted three-pointers on the night.
Tatum has had an incredible season for the Celtics and will hope to continue in the kind of form he is in, in order to secure a Playoffs berth for the high-flying franchise as soon as possible.
