Kevin Durant recently took to Twitter to clear up a fan’s misunderstanding regarding something he said
Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant recently took to Twitter to clear up a fan’s misunderstanding regarding something he’d said. The fan had shared a video of what he thought was Durant yelling in frustration at hiPaul George becomes just the 8th player in NBA history to achieve this stat line after Clippers beat Rocketss teammates. This fan seemed happy with what Durant said and urged him to keep saying it.
Durant tweeted saying that he shouldn’t be saying it every game and that his NSFW comment was directed at a referee. Durant did not say what he was angry at the referees for.
If Kevin Durant had been talking to his teammates, many would have understood. From the Ben Simmons bad play, and Kyrie Irving’s off-court drama to the Brooklyn Nets injury-riddled roster. Durant has had to deal with a lot this season and it’s understandable if he’s frustrated.
The Nets have underperformed so far this season and Head Coach Steve Nash is gone. Nash and the Brooklyn Nets have mutually agreed to part ways, leaving the team in a terrible place. Besides this, the frontrunner to replace Nash is Ime Udoka, the Boston Celtics Head Coach who is serving a 1-year suspension for violating workplace regulations.
Will Kevin Durant request a trade from the Brooklyn Nets?
As the season progresses, the Brooklyn Nets are looking more and more dysfunctional as a basketball team. With all the chaos and change that’s taking place with the Nets organization, it wouldn’t surprise me if Kevin Durant requested a trade. It could be this season but it’s more likely to happen next season.
The Nets have dug themselves a rather deep hole and continue to dig even deeper. What I mean by that is they have had little to no success with their current roster yet they continue to stand by it.
Soon, the Brooklyn Nets will find themselves in a rather difficult place. If Kevin Durant requests a trade, then the Nets will also have to trade Kyrie Irving who is in the last year of his contract. It’ll be rather interesting to see what the Nets do this season and whether Kevin Durant requests a trade.
