Kevin Durant wears exclusive UConn shoes that are not put up for sale to the public
For the Brooklyn Nets’ Monday game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Durant wore a pair of KD 15s with UConn graphics. It’s unlikely that KD is reflecting on and regretting his college decision. Earlier this season, he also sported a pair of KD 15 sneakers with an Oregon Ducks motif.
Kevin Durant donned player-exclusive (PE) sneakers from UConn, which are not available for purchase by the general public. There are several colours available from Nike on their website, but one cannot purchase the ones KD is sporting with the Husky badge.
The 12-time NBA All-Star, Durant, spent his lone season of college with the Texas Longhorns, but before he made his decision, he thought about playing for UConn and even paid a visit to Storrs.
Kevin Durant’s shoe brand, the KD 15s, were sneakers with the UConn design. He had released his “UConn” Nike KD 8 Elite PEs in 2016, so this wasn’t his first time sporting a shoe with the brand’s logo. With the bulk of the shoe being white and UConn blue towards the bottom with red soles, this pair was more subdued. However, Durant made care to place the Husky badge on the shoe’s two ankles.
It appears that Durant has fashioned a brand-new, superior pair. This time, the colour scheme was everything from modest. With a vivid red swoosh, UConn’s distinctive blue colour erupts over the majority of the sneaker. Additionally, the Husky is now prominently shown on the shoe’s tongue.
Durant scored 32 points overall, including five 3-pointers, to help the Nets defeat Cleveland 125-117. Durant was effective, making 10-of-18 shots from the field and bagging 9 rebounds.
