Kevin Durant has been in the news all summer so far after he asked for a trade from the Brooklyn Nets
KD shocked the NBA community when the news of him asking for a trade from the Nets first surfaced after a showdown with Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai, and the American basketball superstar currently waits as his future at the franchise hangs in the balance.
As one of the best players in the world and one of the best forwards in NBA history seems desperate for a move away from his franchise, it is no surprise that several franchises will at least be interested in landing the services of the 33-year-old and reports suggest they are.
Who are Interested in landing Kevin Durant?
According to reports, the Milwaukee Bucks have inquired about how much Durant would cost them over a trade this summer along with another team rumoured to be the Denver Nuggets.
Bleacher Report reports that the Bucks are in for a sensational trade that would see Durant trade New Jersey for Wisconsin and join Giannis Antetokounpo in their bid to reclaim the NBA championship. The Bucks inquired for Durant earlier in the summer in order to gauge the price tag, and so did the Denver Nuggets hoping to win their first ever NBA Championship.
Both the Bucks and the Nuggets are title contenders leading into the new season, and they will significantly boost their rosters with the signing of KD’s stature. Durant’s future still hangs in the balance as it is yet to be seen whether either the Bucks or the Nuggets can afford the superstar, but it is likely that a blockbuster deal will soon be reached as the summer goes on.
Despite signing a four-year extension at the franchise last off-season, the turbulent season that the Nets had off the court including trouble with Durant’s long-time friend Kyrie Irving and James Harden prompted KD to lose faith in the franchise as he put in a request for a trade.
