After a disappointing start to their 2022-23 campaign, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have successfully restored the form of Brooklyn Nets as they have now won 9 of their last 10 games. Moreover, being placed in the fourth seed of the Eastern Conference, the Nets are currently on a seven-game winning streak.
What’s even more impressive? Even when Kevin Durant has entered his 15th season in the league, the Slim Reaper is leading the Nets by averaging 29.9 points per game. However, there is still one thing which is irritating the former MVP the most – the amount of technical foul calls made against him in the 2022-23 season.
Given how Boston Celtics thumped out Kevin Durant led Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs last season, it is remarkable to witness how KD has bounced back. His most recent performance on the court against former team – Golden State Warriors, was a true sign on how a leader should be.
Durant irritation has been evident camera multiple times. For those who are not aware, he has been handed a technical foul call 11 times in this season. On the same note, the Nets marquee scorer reveals his true feelings being confused on just why he’s is still getting such calls.
Kevin Durant could hold a valid point here – NBA’s officiating has come under fire extensively in the 2022-23 season, but their decision to continually hand out technical fouls to Durant is quite confusing, especially if what he says here is true.
That being said, their NBA professionals are given utmost freedom to file a petition for or register a complain on foul calls to the refs. Of course, it’s worth noting that the 34-year-old veteran is seeing this through his own eyes, so if in case he feels strongly about it, there is one-idea KD can consider.
