Kevon Looney believes that Draymond Green still has a lot of work to do before he gets back his trusted rank in the Golden State Warriors set up.

Draymond Green has been amongst the headlines for all the wrong reasons this preseason. The veteran who is one of the key cogs in the Golden State Warriors set up set a bad example for himself as he physically assaulted his teammate Jordan Poole after the two got into an altercation in practice – an incident that has hampered the champions’ morale going into the new season.

Things went from bad to worse for Green as the footage of the incident was leaked recently, and even though Green has publicly apologized to Poole and the whole team – he is still liable to be punished by the Warriors over the incident. However, more than the punishment, Green will also have to gain back the trust of his teammates according to his teammate Kevon Looney.

The Warriors’ man was speaking to the media in a press conference as he said that Green has to win back the trust of the Warriors after his actions in the practice session.

What did Looney have to say about the Warriors situation?

Looney backed his Golden State Warriors teammates to find their way out of the situation.

The 26-year-old said: “It’s been complicated. We’ve had a lot of things happen here in my time, but mostly it stays in the house and we get to handle it most of the time like that – so it’s a little different when it gets to be out in the public with a lot of commotion weighing in. It’s difficult but I think we got the leadership in our people to get through it.”

Looney added: “Whenever adversity hits us, we usually respond in the other way – so this is the ultimate test for us. Jordan, he’s gonna work and do what he’s gonna do here, Draymond – he’s the veteran, he’s got some work to do to get that trust back from us, but I think he’s willing to do it.”
