Khris Middleton hasn’t been to support Giannis Antetokounmpo or perhaps be consistent in the Milwaukee Bucks lineup in the injury-riddled 2022-23 season. The showdown on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks will be the 13th straight contest that the All-Star swingman will miss as his team continues to search for supporting options around the Greek Freak.
The supporting hand isn’t the only thing Milwaukee Bucks is missing. But the fact that their second most consistent player has been sidelined, has even deteriorated the team’s morale in the long run, especially in the clutch time. However, Head Coach Mike Budenholzer has given fresh air to all players and fans as he provided the latest update on the injury of his marquee player.
Khris has been involved in 5-on-5 workouts during the practice sessions on Tuesday and could return well before time for his side. However, the Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach was unable to provide a firm timetable for Middleton’s return.
Khris Middleton Injury: When will the Bucks star be back?
The very fact that he’s ramped up his activity of late means that he should be back in the mix for the Milwaukee Bucks soon. That being said, one cannot help but think about the fact that Middleton is considering entering free agency this summer. He has a player option on his current contract for the 2022-23 season, and it seems as though the 31-year-old is now looking at the possibility of opting out of the deal.
If Middleton does finalize to move out, how will Giannis and the rest of the squad cope? Remains to be an interesting affair to keep our eyes on.
