Klay Thompson latest injury update

Published by

Golden State Warriors confirmed Klay Thompson will not be available for the game due to injury against Utah Jazz

Klay Thompson made his emotional return to the hardcourt in competitive games exactly 2 weeks ago against the Cavs. His plays and movements were encouraging signs for the Warriors. His return was perfect for the team as they were looking for some helping hand in scoring, as Stephen Curry and co had a small bad patch at the offensive end.

But unfortunately for the Warriors, their sharpshooter guard is sidelined again with an injury to the surgically repaired knee. As per ESPN’s Reports, Steve Kerr has ruled out the “seriousness” of the injury. He said, “There is nothing serious, it’s just part of cautiousness.”

Klay was playing for around 18-24 minutes in the game and he was settling in for more game time. He was in the lineup to play, but after the Warriors’ director for sports medicine, Rick Celebrini’s suggestion to hold on Klay for a game, Steve decided otherwise.

The condition of Klay Thompson will be checked on a daily basis. He is averaging 14.7 points per game in a total of 6 games he played since his return. The Warriors will be hoping to get him back healthy again for a longer period of the games.

Klay Thompson set the record on this day

Ironically, Klay will be absent from the game on a special day of his career. On this day, Klay Thompson scored massive 37 points just in one-quarter of the game. Klay was 13-13 from the field and 9-9 from the range when he set the record for the most individual points in one quarter against the Kings.
