One of the biggest names for the 2023 NBA Draft is the French professional Victor Wembanyama.
The 2 times Pro A Best Player of the League is already being considered one of the biggest future aspects of the European basketball generation of his age. Victor turned out 18 on January 4, 2022, missing out on the NBA Draft on a borderline but it won’t be the case next year as many teams could turn up toward him to strengthen their squad.
Just at the age of 18, Wembanyama has made it to the headlines, with his impressive ball techniques and game skills he has already been a part of France’s top professional leagues along with the Euroleague because of which some have called him to be the future LeBron James.
The 7 foot-4 is currently leading France’s Metropolitans 92 into two preseason games against G-Ignite where he is facing Henderson, who is also among the top prospects of the 2023 NBA Draft. In the recent match, G-Ignite took the win, however, Victor didn’t disappoint the scouts with his performance by securing 37 points, five blocks, and four rebounds.
ESPN’s Mike Schmitz called the power guard the “True Class” for the next year’s drafts, furthermore, he mentioned him as the “Best prospect in the world regardless of age” and a “Future NBA MVP” which are some big words for the youngster.
Many teams would target Victor next year with his impressive court presence and 7’9 wingspan which is comparable to Yao Ming.
