Shaquille O’Neal could not contain his rage after listening to this bold take by Ryan Hollins on the First Take.
In 2019, On ESPN’s First Take, Ryan Hollins made a very bold take. The take was so bold, that Shaquille O’Neal and Max Kellerman were shocked that Ryan Hollins said something like this on national television.
Ryan Collins had claimed that he ranks LeBron James as the greatest player of all time. Shaq responded to it and said, “You said LeBron James is the greatest player ever? What about Michael and Kobe? So you’re just going to pass Kobe up like that?”
Hollins said, “I’m going to pass Kobe up, I’m going to look at Michael.” Ryan Hollins added, “Kobe Bryant couldn’t fill or Michael Jordan fill LeBron’s shoes, the impact that he’s had with different teammates with different organizations…”
Shaquille O’Neal was so shocked by hearing this statement, that he wanted to leave the show at that very moment. Shaq then straight away talked about Jordan’s Finals record, and Max Kellerman supported it.
Compared to LeBron and Jordan, it’s a never-ending story, and the First Take crew was just part of it that day. However, the statement made by Ryan Hollins will be remembered forever, as it completely bamboozled Shaq.
Ryan Hollins later came up with another bold take about Jordan in front of Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O’Neal has always admired Michael Jordan. He was a part of the generation of players that looked up to Jordan, and according to them he is the GOAT.
Later on, in the show, Ryan Hollins came up with another bold take. Hollins claimed the Golden State Warriors would have destroyed the Chicago Bulls of MJ. He said, ” They(Warriors) would run laps around that Bulls team…”
The biggest argument about the greatness of LeBron James has been his failure against the Warriors team that had KD-Steph-Klay and Dray. Hollins believed that the Warriors team was the best ever, and even Jordan couldn’t have defeated them with his great Bulls team.
