The 2023 All-Star starters had one missing, the iconic Cameroonian International Joel Embiid. As Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo ©, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Donovan Mitchell took the honors, the Sixers star was one of the biggest stars to be snubbed. This left Kyle Kuzma in utter shock and disbelief.
The former Los Angeles Laker came forward to reveal his true feelings as he couldn’t understand how an MVP frontrunner was left out of the starting lineup of the conference.
The big man who was the runner up for the MVP accolade last season behind Nikola Jokic is having another incredible season as he’s averaging 33.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 53.2% from the floor. The Philadelphia 76ers are having success due to his dominance.
Given that the team selection is completely different in the 2023 All-Star game in Utah wherein captains will be picking their teams hours before the game, Joel Embiid starting the game with LeBron James could have been a never before seen skeptical.
That being said, while he might not be listed as a starter, there is no doubt that Embiid will be a part of the star-studded festivity in Utah. But which captain will be playing with? Remains to be an interesting sight to keep our eyes on.
