Kyrie Irving was the man of the hour for the Brooklyn Nets in their battle for the 7th seed against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he scored 34 points and dished out 12 assists as well, in a game that Brooklyn dominated from the start.
Kai shot 12/15 from the field while also knocking down 3 three-pointers in the game where he didn’t miss a single shot in the first three quarters and led the way for the Nets to a big win in terms of their playoff endeavors.
Kevin Durant also had a good game as he dropped 25 points and dished out 11 assists while recording 5 steals & 2 blocks as well, to cap off a perfect all-around game for him and his team.
KD played second fiddle to Kyrie, as the latter was just torching the team that drafted him. This was a big win for the Brooklyn Nets, as they have qualified for the playoffs as the 7th seed in the East, and their championship hopes are still alive.
The Cleveland Cavaliers who had such a great start to their season, and looked like a lock for the playoffs are now on the brink of elimination following their loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
Cavs will play the winner of the Hawks vs Hornets game to fight for the 8th seed, and if the Hawks win that game then it would be a very tough task for the Cavs to take them down and qualify for the playoffs.
However, in the loss to the Nets, Darius Garland had an excellent game as he scored 34 points and he will hope to lead his team to a win in the next game to qualify for the playoffs.
