Kyrie Irving has spoken out on the internet yet again after the Brooklyn Nets star made his return back to action on the court of late.

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday night. It was an important and hard-earned win for the home side who overturned a first-half deficit to win 127-115 against the Memphis Grizzlies, but most of the headlines were taken by the return of Kyrie Irving – as the suspended Nets star made his return back to the court.

Kyrie Irving was at the centre of controversy all this month after he posted a promotional tweet for the 2018 film “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America” – a film that portrays age-old anti-Semitic tropes and sentiments. Despite being prompted by the media to apologize or address his beliefs, Irving chose not to deny his sentiments which prompted the Nets to suspend the star. Because of his tweet and his inability to strongly deny any anti-Semitic beliefs, Irving was suspended by the Nets for five games without pay.

The Nets star was also handed a set of terms that he has to follow if he wants to make his return to action, upon the fulfilment of which – Irving returned to the court and put up a tally of 14 points, 5 rebounds and a block and steal each. Just as he made his return to the court, Irving also made a return to posting on his Twitter account – coming up with a cryptic message to mark his return.

What did Kyrie Irving tweet about his return to the basketball court?

The Brooklyn Nets star took to his Twitter to post a subliminal message regarding his return to the court after serving his suspension.

The former NBA champion took to his Twitter as he wrote: “Truth will always defend itself. Hélà 🤞🏾♾” to mark his return to the court after weeks. Irving, who is known for his religious beliefs initially was deemed to post something inconspicuous and related to his faith, however more scrutiny by fans has led people to believe that Irving is in fact, defending his actions.

Regardless of his beliefs and where he stands right now, the Nets will be happy to have Irving back in their ranks – and help them string a number of wins to get their season back on track.
