Nets Superstar Kyrie Irving finally resumes the NBA action after missing the first 35 games-he will start the game against Indiana Pacers

Kyrie Irving preferred not to take Vaccines and as a result, he was sidelined by the Nets management. The decision was taken in October as NBA reported Nets to stand over the Irving situation. But now with the team’s wear and tear situation combined with Covid-19 havoc in the past few days, the Nets have reversed their decision and called Kyrie back.

Brooklyn Nets are still 2nd in the East with a 23-12 record without Irving, but the decision to bring him back will be for some game time to the player and team chemistry before the postseason starts. Kyrie Irving will be joining the likes of James Harden and Kevin Durant to complete their lethal offense.

The Nets Coach Steve Nash had already hinted about the role Kyrie will be playing on his return. Kyrie started to practice with the team a week ago and seemed in good touch to start the game. He cleared NBA’s health and safety protocols even before joining the team practice.

When asked about his possible debut this season, Irving said, “Not going to lie,” Irving said. “It’s been relatively tough to watch from the sideline. … But if I get the opportunity to get on the court and play with some of my teammates, even if it’s just on the road for away games, I’m grateful for that opportunity.”

Kyrie will be eligible to play only in the away games, as he still is unvaccinated and hence not compliant with the New York State mandate. Even though he will be available for away games, he can’t play in Toronto and San Francisco as per respective local policies against unvaccinated individuals.

The Nets have used 12 starting lineups and 20 different players in their 35 games without Kyrie so far and now with their primary ball-handler back on (for some games), the team might have stable combinations to work with.
