The Los Angeles Clippers aimed a wild dig at Giannis Antetokounmpo after the Milwaukee Bucks star was slammed for throwing a ladder following their defeat at Philadelphia.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been under the spotlight since the Milwaukee Bucks threw a ladder off the court after an altercation with staff at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The 76ers defeated the Bucks on a bad shooting night for Giannis was not at his best, as he made only four of his 15 total attempts at free throws – besides missing a few more post-game.
Even though Giannis had a night where he racked up 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists – he was not at his very best considering his very lofty standards. The Greek Freak had a disastrous shooting night as he could only make 10 out of his total 22 attempted field goals at a success rate of 45%, and to make it even worse – Giannis made only 4 of his total 15 attempted free throws.
Giannis’ shooting form from the free throw line looked disastrous and uncharacteristic, and the Bucks superstar wasted no time to get going on his improvement as he immediately took aim at the hoop following the game. The Bucks star also was seen throwing a ladder away from the court post-game in what was perceived as a disrespectful gesture to the Wells Fargo Center staff.
Giannis has been under the spotlight ever since, with many in the NBA community chipping in on their two cents about the situation – the latest of them being the LA Clippers’ Twitter account.
What did the Clippers’ Twitter have to say about Giannis Antetokounmpo?
The Clippers’ Twitter account took aim at Giannis with a wild dig at the Greek-Nigerian with a reference to his “laddergate” trouble.
Following their 119-97 win against the San Antonio Spurs at the Crypto.com Arena, the Clippers’ Twitter account posted a glimpse of the post-game court with three ladders on it – topped off with a caption that read “Oh no, 3 ladders?”.
The tweet went viral in no time. While the Bucks will welcome the Portland Trail Blazers next, the Clippers will welcome the Utah Jazz for their next outing.
