“Kobe never did this?” – LeBron James becoming first player to score 40 points against 30 NBA teams gets people confused

LeBron James scoring 40 points for the Lakers against the Clippers was yet another in a series of impressive displays by the legendary veteran.

The Los Angeles Lakers went up against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. It was the Clippers who ended on the winning side after they came out on top in a 133-115 win against the Lakers, courtesy of heroics from Paul George and Kawhi Leonard – while LeBron James put in a valiant effort despite ending on the losing side.

While the Clippers forward pairing of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard racked up 27 and 25 points each in the outing, guard Nick Powell also racked up 22 points to help the Clippers to the win. On the other side, it was an incredible performance from the legendary veteran LeBron James who racked up 46 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists but could not help his team to a win.

However, despite ending on the losing side, LeBron created yet another record – as he became the first player to score 40 points against 30 different NBA franchises. The stat was yet another staggering one to add to LeBron’s ever-expanding repertoire, but it largely amazed and confused plenty of NBA fans at the same time.
