LeBron James might be 37 years old, but he has still got the legs and strength to out space the mightiest of modern-day big-men in the NBA. To justify the same claim – King James channelized his rookie-self to dunk the ball viciously in Los Angeles Lakers’ latest match against the Sacramento Kings.
In the second quarter, the home team led by 58-52 when Domantas Sabonis failed to score at the rim. With the King’s being out numbered on the defense end, Thomas Bryant quickly passed the ball to the 4-time NBA Champ. While many thought age might have slowed down LeBron, he was only going to give them a different highlight.
The Lakers superstar ran his way down the court, only to viciously score a dunk to bridge the points gap to 4 points. Having to play on the road, the basketball fanatics inside the Golden 1 Center too couldn’t hold onto their excitement.
On one hand where LeBron James scored a significant double-double with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists, his team failed to support him. With both Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook out, the pace of the game once again got the better of this purple and gold unit.
All of Sacramento Kings’ starters scored in double digits with Kevin Huerter leading them with 26 points on the same night. After yet another positive string of games, the Lakers have lost two consecutive games. With this loss their tally has moved to 13-18.
That being said, LeBron James will lead his side next against the depleted Charlotte Hornets (8-23). Will we witness the legend of King James growing against Michael Jordan’s side? Or will there be another setback? Remains to be seen.
