LeBron James claps back at the reporter who was trying to spoil his relationship and image with the Lakers

Despite Los Angeles Lakers not being one of the most dominant forces in the NBA today, LeBron James had decided to work his way to a championship with them. However, after a demoralizing 2-10 start, many expected the King to give an indirect indication to the top tier to sacrifice their draft picks in order to accumulate a decent shooting side.

As these claims caught some hype, LeBron James was quick to bury them via a direct answer on Twitter. For those who are not aware – The Athletic’s Sam Amick published a transcript of a brief conversation he had with the 38-year-old sensation after the Lakers registered their first-ever 5-game winning streak in the 2022-23 season.

While Thomas Bryant, Russell Westbrook, and Dennis Schroder all played their parts incredibly well, the limelight was stolen by LeBron as he knocked 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists as he continues to absolutely ball out since turning 38 years old in late December.

LeBron James buries all claims of wanting the Lakers to make a big trade

In the conversation between LeBron and Amick, the Lakers star repeatedly refuses to state any frustrations he may have with Lakers management. I play the game,” LeBron said. “I worry about who’s in the locker room. I can’t — it’s not me… it’s not my job. I can’t do nobody else’s job. Y’all know what the f*ck should be happening. I don’t need to talk.”

In his tweets, LeBron seemed to take issue with what Amick wrote in his preamble that (LeBron) James made it clear that his patience is waning.

That being said, James wrote, “Hey Sam actually my patience isn’t waning. You make it sound like I’m frustrated when I’m really not. I told you over and over, my job is focused on the guys in the locker room, my job isn’t the roster. That’s the reality of that conversation.”
