LeBron James had another 50 point game at home as he helped the Lakers to a much-needed win
LeBron James was once again at his very best as he scored 50 points in a win against the Washington Wizards. This was LeBron’s second 50 point game of this week as he continues to exceed all the expectations in his 19th year in the league.
He scored 18/25 from the field while having shot 6/9 from the 3 point range and also recorded 7 rebounds and 6 assists in a game which once again saw Russell Westbrook struggling.
James has been playing at an MVP level and now leads the league in scoring due to his amazing performances this week. He would have been the frontrunner for the MVP race but the Lakers’ record this season doesn’t help that agenda.
The Lakers are currently in play-in spots and it is most likely that they will have to win two successive games in the play-in tournament to reach the playoffs. They will most likely be coming up against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Clippers which will be a tough task for them.
They are supposed to get Anthony Davis back healthy in time for the play-in tournament and everyone knows how lethal of a duo can LeBron James and Anthony Davis become during playoff time, which is why their hopes are not over yet.
The Lakers fan welcomed back two former players of their team Kyle Kuzma and KCP who were an instrumental part of the 2020 championship run.
They were treated with a tribute video by the franchise and were cheered loud by everyone in the building as the mutual love is still there between them.
Both Kuzma and KCP have been nice for the Washington Wizards and it is nice to see former Lakers shining in the league even though they are not part of the team anymore.
