LeBron James was left ecstatic after his son Bronny James recently put pen to paper on a brand new Nike deal.

LeBron James was left ecstatic after his son Bronny James was signed by Nike. Nike signed LeBron’s eldest son who recently turned 18 this week as part of their most recent class of student athletes, as the young superstar was one out of five athletes to be handed the new contract.

Bronny James

Bronny is a senior at Sierra Leone High School, and is considered being one of the hottest prospects in his age group – and it was no surprise for Nike to hand him the NIL deal. His father famously signed a lifetime contract with the sports giants in 2015 and opened the LeBron James Innovation Center at the Oregon headquarters.

Bronny recently commented in a statement: “For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family. Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild – it really means a lot to me.” Alongside Bronny, four others including Iowa point guard Caitlin Clarke, Stanford guard Hayley Jones, top 2-23 guard D.J. Wagner and Bronny’s fellow Sierra Canyon High School classmate and star guard Juju Watkins, have all signed NIL deals.

Nike’s statement added: “Each athlete is recognized as a player who is paving the way for the next generation on and off the court. These athletes push Nike to think about new ways the game can break barriers, bring people together, build community and shape the future.” Much to expectations, LeBron also has something to add on his son’s new deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar and the NBA legend took to his Instagram to post the news of Bronny signing the new Nike deal. A visibly ecstatic James – happy to see his legacy being continued – wrote “The Legacy Continues On! Congrats Young King” as a caption.

It certainly will be worth watching out for Bronny playing in the NBA in a couple of years, as all eyes will be on him as the eldest James son will be eligible to take part in the 2024 NBA Draft.
