When Tyronn Lue was made in charge of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, LeBron James was the first player to have enabled his trust and faith in him. This is just where the seeds of a bromance in the NBA had started even when he had no major head coach experience.
Having both Kyrie Irving and LeBron James helped Lue to silence all of his critics and even clinch Cavaliers’ first-ever NBA Championship. Now with the Clippers, Lue has to face LeBron James-led Lakers every season yet both the mentioned personnel never fail to pore love on one another.
Not only that, Tyronn even led his LA Clippers to their 10th straight win over the Lakers most recently. On the same note, Lue even revealed how Bron had revealed his desire to surpass Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the NBA All-Time scoring charts.
LeBron James on Tyronn Lue
When the same was asked of LeBron, he responded, “Don’t let Tyronn Lue gas you up like that. T Lue is lying. I never thought that I could catch Kareem in scoring, that has never been something that has been on my mind. He’s lying there but he’s not a liar but he’s lying there for sure. I also think that he went to the roof in Oracle Arena and in that locker room and took that money too that we would try to go back and get when we went back for Game 7 too because it wasn’t there when we went back.
“I think he took that money and told us somebody else went up there and grabbed it.”
This just shows that both LeBron and Tyronn had a great time together back in Cleveland and will always cherish their moments every time they are on the court together. Even if it’s for opposing rivals.
