LeBron James had yet another match-winning and record-setting performance, this time against the Hawks

LeBron James is a very unique individual. Playoffs scenarios and actual playoff games just charge him on. And charged up LeBron James is a monster on the court. Atlanta Hawks felt the heat of this monster as they visited Staples Center for a regular-season game against the Lakers.

Though Atlanta Hawks are struggling this season, they have very capable individuals who can hurt any team on their day. LA Lakers were on a 3-game winning streak and pushing hard to secure a direct playoff spot this season. LeBron was leading the Lakers in those games, bettering their overall record to a respectable 20-19.

The Hawks seemed well aware of the situation and the different animal in LeBron, which might have caused their abysmal performance in the game. The Lakers lead from the start and didn’t allow Atlanta Hawks any chance of a comeback, keeping a safe point difference between the two. Lakers were leading by 21 points at times.

The Hawks star guard Trae Young produced a near triple-double performance with 25 points, 14 assists, and 9 rebounds. But he also gave away possession 9 times in the game. Forward John Collins was the only other notable performer for the Hawks with 21 points and 8 rebounds.

4 Lakers scored 20+ points in the game, Monk (29), Bradley (21), James (32), and Talen Horton-Tucker (21), while Veteran Carmelo chipped in with 17 points in the Lakers dominant victory over the Hawks.

The Lakers have won 4 games in a row now first time this season and remain undefeated in 2022. They will face in form Grizzlies next on Sunday.

LeBron James hot form and yet another record (s) in the game.

LeBron James is currently scoring well above his season average. He now has 9 30+ points games in the last 10 matches and averages 34.1 in those games. This makes him the oldest player to have 10 straight 25+ games, surpassing great Michael Jordan (record at aged 34)

But he seems to be the sole performer for the Lakers, a team that couldn’t capitalize on James’ scoring spree losing 5 out of 10 games.

Still, James’ performance cannot be ignored. He entered the game with the usual winning mentality and delivered staggering performance (again) for the team. His stats for the game are 32 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals.

Well, those 4 steals have a different meaning altogether as LeBron now enters in the Top 10 leaders in steals. James surpassed Alvin Robertson’s tally of 2112 steals in the NBA. Only Chris Paul has more steals (2404 steals, 5th all-time) in NBA among the active player, while LeBron now ranks 10th with 2113 steals.

We need to look out for any other record LeBron James is breaking or setting in coming matches.
