LeBron James is set to continue his spell on the sidelines, as it has been reported that the Los Angeles Lakers superstar could miss the game against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ season goes from bad to worse with every passing game. While they started their season on a disastrous 0-5 start, two consecutive wins certainly helped in a moral turnaround in the Lakers’ locker room–however, five more losses followed to keep the Lakers on a 2-10 streak this season. Unfortunately, their troubles do not seem to go away soon.
It was in the game against the Los Angeles Clippers that their talisman LeBron James went off the court in the fourth quarter after seeming to have injured himself, and head coach Darwin Ham confirmed later that LeBron was injured – but the extent of the injury was out after an MRI scan. And it did when it turned out that LeBron had strained his abductor’s muscle.
LeBron missed the Lakers’ loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday night with his injury, as the Lakers suffered their fifth consecutive defeat of the season. While the Lakers would love to have James back as soon as possible with more important games approaching, it turns out that LeBron is likely to miss the Lakers’ next game at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.
It turns out that LeBron will miss the Lakers’ next meeting against the Brooklyn Nets.
According to the injury report issued by the Lakers ahead of their meeting against the Brooklyn Nets at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, LeBron James has been upgraded to ‘doubtful’ status – and is likely to miss the game with his left abductor strain continuing to worry him.
The struggling Lakers will prepare for a tough game against the Nets who find themselves in a good run of form, and will hope for LeBron to be back as soon as possible to get their season back on track.
