Nikola Jokic keeps on outdoing himself in a brilliant run of form, as he has now tied Wilt Chamberlain in the all-time list of triple doubles.

Nikola Jokic is in his own right, one of the best players in the league right now. The Denver Nuggets superstar had an incredible season last time out as he won the Most Valuable Player award, but he seems to have caught up this season from right where he left off last season – helping the Nuggets start their season with two wins out of three games they have played.

Jokic’s contribution in both wins was immense, coming up with triple-doubles in each of the wins. The latest win came over the Oklahoma City Thunder as the Nuggets edged out a 122-117 win, and Jokic reigned supreme yet again as the Serbian pulled off yet another triple-double with his individual stats reading 19 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists – a record equalling tally.

The triple-double tally meant Jokic equaled NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain on the all time list for triple-doubles. The Serbian who is going from strength to strength with every passing game has now equalled the Los Angeles Lakers legend’s all time tally, and is now trailing current Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James in the all time list for triple-doubles.

Who else is Jokic trailing in the all time list?

On equalling Wilt Chamberlain, Jokic is now trailing only five other players in the all time list.

Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets to a crucial win against the Lakers without LeBron

While Jokic’s triple double tally is now 78 and on par with Wilt Chamberlain, he is right behind LeBron James on 105 triple doubles in his career. However, it turns out that the all time highest triple double tally is still quite some way off for the big Serbian, as it is another Los Angeles Lakers player Russell Westbrook who is leading the way with a whopping tally of 194.

Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson with 181, Magic Johnson with 138 and Jason Kidd with 107 make up the rest of the top five, and Jokic will have quite the task on his hands to overtake such a glorious list of legends.
