In their recent match against the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James led his team to a big win which helped them boost their confidence ahead of the playoffs.
The whole team played very well in this match. This was a tough matchup against one of the best teams this season and this victory was a well-fought win for the Lakers.
LeBron James led the Lakers as he scored 38 points while also recording 11 rebounds and 12 assists as well, as he recorded a triple-double on his return to his hometown.
LeBron James shot 17/29 from the field and this was an impressive performance by him. His performance set the standards for his teammates as they also contributed massively both on the attacking and defensive end of the court.
The Lakers won this game by the score of 131-120 and their record improves to 31-41 and they are now the 9th seed in the West.
Russell Westbrook continues to improve for the Lakers
Russell Westbrook is beginning to get his form back just in time for the playoffs which are approaching fast as the Lakers need him to step up to have any chance of making some noise.
In the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Westbrook scored 20 points. He also recorded 11 assists and 4 rebounds as he supported LeBron James well and secured this big win for the Lakers.
Anthony Davis is subjected to return in time for the play-in tournament. And if Russ and LeBron continue to play like this, they can qualify to the playoffs via the play-in tournament. And once the playoffs start, you cannot count them out.
After this impressive win, it will be interesting to see how the Lakers perform for the rest of the regular season as they are only 10 games left now for them.
